ColorLogic releases Push-2-ZePrA Photoshop extension

ColorLogic GmbH

07 May 2019

RHEINE GERMANY — ColorLogic GmbH announces the release of Push-2-ZePrA, an Adobe Photoshop extension which allows color conversion of an image file with ColorLogic’s ZePrA Color Server directly from Photoshop. “Testing and comparing configurations can be painful. However, with Push-2-ZePrA it is easier and more efficient to convert the files right out of Photoshop. Thus, making automation with a ColorServer seamless,” states Thorsten Braun, CTO of ColorLogic.

About Push-2-ZePrA

Push-2-ZePrA uses DeviceLink profiles to produce high-quality color conversions, which results in better color rendering of images compared to standard color conversions with Photoshop. The converted file opens in Photoshop so that you do not need to leave the application to get the best possible color converted images. Converting spot colors to process colors in high quality is achievable if the ZePrA configuration is set up accordingly.

Result of using Push-2-ZePrA

The screenshot below shows a comparison between a typical ICC conversion from Adobe Photoshop to using the Push-2-ZePrA plugin. As you can see, the image on the right has more saturation and vibrant conversion with pure primaries and secondaries using Push-2-ZePrA compared to a typical conversion with an ICC printer profile using Photoshop alone. Note: the example image used shows a color conversion from AdobeRGB to PSO coated V3 (CMYK).

Availability of Push-2-ZePrA

Push-2-ZePrA is now available to download. Users must install the plugin on the same computer as the ZePrA 7 application. There will be an Introduction to Push-2-ZePrA webinar on May 21st, 2019. For more details about Push-2-ZePrA and other information can be found here.
